Pastor David W. Jones, Jr. is an ALTRUISTIC LEADER. With a height of 6 feet and 5 inches, he has an even equally heighten heart for the people of God, and for those who yet know Him. He is a loving and devoted family man. Conquering the position of being Connie's husband, he has faithfully, with great desire, passion and friendship loved his wife. He has, as the father of three children (David, DeWayne, Carmen) also mastered the joy and responsibilities of fatherhood. And to this family they have been blessed with a Daughter-in-Love, Kendrea, the wife of David, their oldest son. David and Kendrea have one daughter, Grier.

Pastor Jones is the son of the late David W. Jones Sr. and Loretha Baker Jones. He was educated in the Calhoun County Public School System. Furthering his education, he received an Associate Degree from Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida, a Bachelors Degree from Ashland College in Ohio and a Masters Degree at Nova University, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Presently, he is the Director of the Physical Education Department and a Professor at Valencia Community College, West Campus.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for over 25 years. On November 1998, he accepted the calling of God's Ministry. He preached his Trial Sermon in June of 1999 under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Walter R. Prince Jr. And, on October 24, 2004, he was ordained as Reverend David W. Jones Jr.

In March 2006, he and his family joined Shiloh Baptist Church of Orlando under the leadership of Pastor Alvin White Jr. In that same month, he was chosen as the Youth and Young Adults Pastor. As Youth Pastor, he demonstrated God's love for His children by developing and creating programs, resources, and hosting speakers to help guide youth and young adults through the enrichment of their spiritual life and fellowship as a family.

As Senior Pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Orlando since June 1, 2008, his focus is to lead by example. He continues to equip saints with the Word, while stressing the importance of beginning first in their respective homes, before going into the world. It is the hope of Pastor Jones that more will receive the gift of everlasting life through not only their attendance in the assembly of a church home, but also with the utilization of global technology, found at www.fmbcorlando.org. As he watches God do "a mighty work", he has humbly received the blessing of 19 disciples who have joined the Friendship Family Lord Have Mercy!
